Why join the Ocean View Community Association? It’s a way to take part in this growing community, and to help make it better. If you’re new to the area,  it’s a great way to meet new friends and neighbors, and plug in to what’s going on. There’s also the free WIFI, a bi-monthly newsletter, and the library.  But it’s really about pitching in, and connecting.

The Ocean View Community Association Inc was established in 1969. It’s not an HOA, but a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, staffed by unpaid volunteers.  The OVCA manages the OV Community Center, which hosts a wide range of events.  The OVCA nonprofit receives no funding from the county or state of Hawaii.  Funding relies on member dues (an individual membership is just $30/year, or $50 for a family), donations, building rental fees, and the occasional grant.  Members receive a 20% discount on space rentals, the OVCA newsletter, and discounted advertising. The town of Ocean View consists of six subdivisions. Hawaiian Ocean View Estates (HOVE), Hawaiian Ocean View Ranchos, Kahuku Country Gardens, Kula Kai View Estates, Kona Gardens, and Kona View Estates. HOVE has no CCRs or HOA, while some of the others may.
